ICCS Associates
ICCS Associates are Cambridge academics, researchers and postgraduate students from a wide range of disciplines, spanning climate and conservation to oceanography and computer science. They are interested in forging new interdisciplinary collaborations and working across domains to accelerate research that will ultimately provide solutions to the climate crisis.
If you would like to find out more about this initiative or are interested in joining, please read the information below or get in touch with the ICCS operations team: iccs@maths.cam.ac.uk
As an ICCS Associate you will have access to the following:
- Opportunities to network and form interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers from a wide range of disciplines across the University and affiliated organisations
- Priority places to attend the annual ICCS Summer School
- If you are a final year University of Cambridge PhD student, you will be able to apply for funding to support the end of your PhD studies (for a maximum of 3 months)
- Logistics support and funding to organise specialist domain workshops or hackathons (in collaboration with Cambridge Centre for Climate Science (CCfCS)
- Opportunities to be involved in a postdoc and PhD mentoring scheme specific to computing and climate science researchers
- Invitation to attend and present at an annual CCfCS symposium
- Profile on ICCS website.
To be eligible to join the ICCS Associates group you will be a researcher or postgraduate student working in any field relating to climate, conservation, mathematics, physics, environmental science or computer science.
Please note that if you intend to apply for PhD funding support, you will need to be registered as a University of Cambridge student and we would expect you to have taken on organisational or leadership roles in ICCS Associate activities.
If you are interested in joining and you are an academic or PI or postdoctoral researcher, please contact iccs@maths.cam.ac.uk
If you are a PhD student you will need to be nominated by an ICCS Associate PI.
