The session will bring together leading experts in AI and environmental sustainability to explore the opportunities and challenges of deploying AI to address global climate issues. The panel will critically examine the ethical dimensions of AI-driven climate solutions, including their environmental impact, societal implications and governance challenges.
Our panelists are: Dr Gabby Samuel, Lecturer in the Department of Global Health & Social Medicine, Kings College London, Ms Amelie Sophie Berz, PhD candidate at the University of Oxford and Dr Loïc Lannelongue, Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, University of Cambridge.
The discussion will be chaired by Dr Simon Driscoll, ICCS Early Career Advanced Fellow, and the session will focus on themes such as the hidden costs of AI, questions on equity and accountability and potential pathways towards responsible and sustainable innovation.
All are welcome to attend this in-person event.
