ICCS members are planning to host two sessions at the EGU General Assembly 2026. Every year around 20,000 scientific researchers come together in person and online to share and debate critical cutting edge scientific discoveries.

Simon Driscoll, an Early Career Advanced Fellow at ICCS, will convene a session titled Developments in Machine Learning Across Earth System Modeling: Subgrid-Scale Parameterizations, Emulation and Hybrid Modeling. Submit an abstract.

ICCS Senior Research Software Engineer Jack Atkinson will convene a session titled Advancing Earth System Models Using Machine Learning. Submit an abstract.

The abstract submission deadline is Thursday 15 January.

The EGU General Assembly 2026 brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.
