About
Laura is a physical oceanographer, investigating the global ocean circulation and how it contributes to the sequestration and redistribution of tracers, such as anthropogenic heat and carbon.
She is primarily an observational oceanographer, and has participated in several research cruises. Laura employs observations gathered from both ship-based operations and state-of-the-art autonomous vehicles, such as underwater gliders. She couples observations with numerical models and inverse methods to investigate ocean-ice interactions and recent changes around Antartica, such as warming and freshening in West Antarctica.
